“I Miss Her Too”: A Love Letter to Tired Moms
I miss her too.
The one who used to laugh before she thought about whether she even had the energy to. The one who sang along to the radio without thinking twice. The one who felt like herself in her own body.
I know you love your child. You would do anything for this sweet little person.
And maybe that's exactly why it's so hard to admit that you are tired in a way that has started to change you.
You are physically there.
But you don’t always feel there.
You snap over something small. You cry in the bathroom. You scroll your phone because you’re too exhausted to do anything else. You count down until everyone is asleep because you just need a little time to yourself.
You love your family so much. But you also desperately miss the person you were before you became so tired.
And then, sometimes, you feel guilty for even admitting that.
So I want you to know this:
You are not failing.
You aren’t less loving, and you aren’t doing motherhood wrong.
You’re exhausted.
And exhaustion has a way of shrinking your world. It leaves less room for laughter, connection, play, creativity, and the tiny, ordinary moments you want to remember forever.
And none of that makes you any less of an absolutely extraordinary, whole-hearted mother.
You can love your baby deeply and still be exhausted. You can be grateful for your life and still wish you had more energy for it. You can adore this season of motherhood and still miss parts of yourself that have become harder to access.
Those things can exist together.
You’re still in there.
This is what I wish more parents knew about relationship-centered sleep support.
The transformation isn't just about helping your child sleep better.
It's about reclaiming yourself, and giving you more access to the incredible parent and person you already are.
Your whole, beautifully messy, deeply loving, wildly human self.
The part of you that existed before the sleep deprivation.
The part of you that never left.
Rest makes more room for you.
More rest can give you enough space to love deeply, connect fully, and meet the hard days with a little more softness.
To remember what lights you up.
To rediscover desire for the parts of life that make you feel alive.
It doesn’t mean you’ll suddenly love every minute of motherhood or never have another hard day. It means you won’t have to meet those hard days already running on empty.
And you can really soak in the good ones.
You can be more present for the little things, the moments that might otherwise pass by in a blur.
Not because you’ve become a different person.
Because you have more of yourself available to experience the life you’re already living.
You deserve real support.
You deserve to be rested enough, present enough, and you enough to fully experience the life you love.
Not perfectly. But deeply.
You don't have to wait until you're completely depleted to ask for support. You don't have to prove that you're struggling enough. And you don't have to choose between more rest and the connection that’s so important to you.
There is room for both.
If you're ready for more rest and more room for yourself, I'd love to help you find your way there, in whatever way feels right foryour family.
You’re welcome here, exactly as you are.
Because your child is growing right now. Your relationship is happening right now. Your life is happening right now.
And you deserve to be here for it. Not just physically there. Really there.
